Planning a funeral for a loved one is one of the most difficult things to do, especially when the loss is so recent and the grief still so raw.
Today, in an effort to alleviate the extra stress at such an emotional time, more and more people are planning their own funerals, sometimes in great detail, sometimes just the selection of a reading and the music they would like. Even a small amount of planning will help those left behind.
The more that you can do to help your loved one as they are dealing with your loss, and dealing with the many, many things that they have to do, the easier you will make things for them.
I will meet with you at your home, a public venue, or virtually, and talk through options and ideas for you to consider, and, when you are happy to proceed, I will create your own funeral plan.
If you need time to think about everything we have talked about, then I will be happy to arrange a second meeting with you.
I will give you a copy and retain a copy myself, so that when your loved one contacts me, I am able to visit them fully prepared. We will discuss any changes or additions they would like to make until they are happy and I can prepare the final copy of the service.
You will need to ensure that your loved one knows where to find your copy of your funeral plan, and how to contact me.

"Sara was chosen by both myself and husband when he was diagnosed with cancer. When he died she was very caring and helped me through everything.
The service was just wonderful with people saying it was the best funeral they had been to."
